In fact, communication, both spoken and written is one of the essential skills that employers seek among applicants. While people first learn to communicate within the family context, the ability to communicate effectively in numerous other contexts is important to academic and career success.

Communication courses equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective ethical communicators in academic, community, and workplace environments, as well as everyday life. Students learn applicable communication strategies necessary for interacting in a variety of contexts, including interpersonal relationships, public speaking, group dynamics and business and professional settings. Also, conflict management and persuasive approaches are taught in a variety of face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.

Our goal is to prepare students to successfully address the increasingly complex communication challenges in our global and diverse world. Ultimately, completion of a communication course is an investment in your future!
